Liège, also known as Luik in Dutch, is a beautiful city located in the eastern part of Belgium. It is the third largest city in the country, after Brussels and Antwerp, and has a rich history and culture.

One of the most striking features of Liège is the Meuse, the river that flows through the heart of the city. Along the banks of the Meuse, you will find many picturesque cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the view of the water and the architecture of the city.

Liège also has some impressive historical landmarks, such as the Prince-Bishop's Palace and the Palace of the Prince-Bishops. The city also has a rich religious heritage, with beautiful churches such as the Saint-Jacques Church and the St. Paul's Abbey.

Another popular attraction in Liège is the famous Montagne de Bueren, a steep staircase with over 370 steps that leads to the top of the hill. This is a popular spot for both tourists and residents of the city to walk and enjoy the view of the city.

Our extra's

Extra cleaning studio

The studios are cleaned once a week. If you want this to happen more frequently, please take into account an extra 25 euros per extra cleaning.

Late check-out 1pm

Extend your stay and savor the moment a little longer. Enjoy the luxury of extra time, giving you the freedom to relax and make the most of your stay.

Baby bed

Baby beds are available for our youngest guests at a one-time modest fee of 15 euros.

How to reach Getaway

Train: Liège-Guillemins, the main train station in Liège, is well connected to all major Belgian cities. International trains also stop at Liège-Guillemins, providing easy access from cities like Paris, Cologne, and Amsterdam. Find trains and schedules here.

Tram: Liège does not have a tram network yet, but one is currently under construction and is expected to open in mid-April 2025. In the meantime, buses offer an excellent alternative.

Bus: From Liège-Guillemins station, several buses can take you to the city center, with stops conveniently located near Getaway Liège. Find buses and schedules here.

Walking: For those who enjoy a walk, the journey from Liège-Guillemins to Getaway Liège takes around 25 minutes on foot.

Taxi:Taxis are available 24/7 in Liège. Additionally, Uber operates in Liège, and you can book a ride via the Uber app.

Car:Liège is easily accessible via major highways, making it a convenient destination whether you're coming from within Belgium or from neighboring countries.

From Brussels and the west: Take the E40 highway, which connects Brussels to Liège in approximately 1 hour.
From Germany (Aachen) and the east: The E40 also links Liège to Aachen, Germany, in around 40 minutes.
From the Netherlands (Maastricht) and the north: Use the E25, which provides a direct route from Maastricht, taking about 30 minutes.
From Luxembourg and the south: The E25 highway also connects Liège to Luxembourg, with a travel time of about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
From Namur and the southwest: The E42 offers a direct connection, reaching Liège in approximately 45 minutes.

With well-maintained roads and clear signage, driving to Liège is straightforward. Once in the city, there are several parking options available, including Parking Central Park, located just a 4-minute walk from Getaway Studios Liège.

Important:Liège has a low-emission zone (LEZ) planned for the future. While it is not yet in effect, we recommend checking for any upcoming regulations that may impact access to the city center. Stay updated on Liège’s mobility regulations here.

Parking:The most convenient parking option near Getaway Liège is Parking Central Park. This secure parking facility has 167 spaces spread over four levels and is equipped with more than 40 surveillance cameras. It also offers 8 charging stations for electric vehicles. Located at Boulevard de la Sauvenière 37 in Liège, it is just a 1-minute walk from Getaway Studios Liège. The parking fee is €20.20 for 24 hours. For more information, visit Parking Central Park.

Frequently asked questions

Where can we park our car?

Getaway Liège is centrally located, with several public parking options nearby. The closest public parking facilities are Indigo Parking Neujean and Public Parking Central Park, both conveniently situated just around the corner at Boulevard De La Sauvenière 45 and 37. Getaway Liège does not have private parking.

What about bed sheets and towels?

These are all present in the studio. The beds are made and the sheets for the sofa bed are in the closet.

Every guest receives a big and a small towel.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

You can pay with Bancontact, Maestro, Visa or Mastercard at the reception. You can also pay online via the guest portal.

We do not accept cash payments.

I would like to check out, but the reception is closed?

Everything has already been taken care of. For check-out, simply complete the online check-out and drop your key in the check-out box on your way out.

Can the studios be viewed in advance?

They can, but only during office hours and by appointment. Please contact us upfront.

Is there Wifi available?

Every studio has a free WiFi connection. You will find the code on the key holder.

Is there an elevator?

Yes, Getaway Liège is equipped with 2 elevators. However, some of the studios on the first and second are only accessible via steps.

Do I have to clean the studio when I leave?

No, a weekly cleaning service is included in the standard fee. We only ask you to do the dishes.

Can I bring a pet?

Sorry, pets are not allowed for reasons of hygiene and allergies.

What is the occupation capacity of your studios?

Can I extend my stay?

Of course you can, but only in function of availability of the studio. If you plan a longer stay, please contact us as soon as possible.

Do you accept group bookings?

Group bookings are possible. From 4 studios on, please contact us upfront.

Is it possible to check-in early?

Check-in is only possible from 3pm.

An early check-in from 1pm can be requested in advance at an extra fee of €25, for arrivals on Monday through Friday, not in the weekend. Do note that this request can be denied according to availability.

Is it possible to check-in late?

The reception closes at 8 PM every day.

A late night check-in is possible if the payment and identification information has been received upfront during the online check-in. The guest will then receive all required information.

Is it possible to check-out late?

Check-out is normally before 11 AM. If you want a lazy check-out, the check-out will be delayed until 1 PM. Please contact us during opening hours on the day before check-out to book this option.

Is breakfast included?

No, all of the studios are equipped with their own little kitchen so our guests can prepare breakfast themselves. Due to our central location, there are also many breakfast options in the near vicinity of the hotel.

Do the studios have a coffee machine?

There is a kettle and instant coffee present in every studio.

Can I add a crib to my reservation?

We offer cribs for the singular fee of 15 euro.
