The legal contracting entity responsible for the stay is the company mentioned on the booking confirmation and/or invoice.

Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all reservations, stays and services provided under the Getaway brand, regardless of the booking channel used. By making a reservation or staying at a Getaway property, the guest confirms having read, understood and accepted these terms.
Booking, confirmation and pricing

All reservations are subject to written confirmation by Getaway. The guest is responsible for verifying the accuracy of the booking confirmation and must notify Getaway immediately in writing in case of errors. If no correction is requested, the confirmation is deemed correct and binding.
Getaway reserves the right to refuse, amend or cancel a reservation in case of incorrect information, non-payment, invalid guarantee, suspected misuse or loss of trust.

In the event of an overbooking, Getaway will offer alternative accommodation of equal or higher standard in the same city, subject to availability. If this is not possible, any prepaid amount will be refunded in full. To the extent permitted by law, this constitutes Getaway’s sole obligation.
In the event of changes to governmental taxes or mandatory charges such as VAT or city tax, Getaway reserves the right to adjust confirmed reservations accordingly. These changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation without cost.

Payments, guarantees and deposits
Accepted payment methods are Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Bancontact and bank transfers. Bank transfers must be credited at least 48 hours before arrival.
A valid credit or debit card is always required as a guarantee, even if the stay has been prepaid through a third-party platform. Getaway reserves the right to verify the validity of payment and guarantee methods and may refuse or cancel a booking if these are insufficient or invalid.
Getaway may take a pre-authorisation on the provided card prior to arrival to guarantee the reservation against no-show, late cancellation, damages and additional services.

The credit or debit card used for the booking must be presented upon request. If the card cannot be verified, Getaway may require an alternative payment method or a security deposit by card or cash up to an amount communicated prior to arrival. Failure to provide a valid guarantee may result in refusal of access or cancellation without refund.

A refundable security deposit of EUR 50 per stay may be requested prior to or upon arrival. Depending on the length of stay, number of guests or nature of the reservation, Getaway reserves the right to require a higher deposit. The applicable amount will be communicated per booking. The deposit serves as a partial guarantee and does not limit the guest’s liability. Any remaining balance of the deposit will be released within a reasonable period after departure, normally within 14 days, subject to inspection.

Invoices are payable within the stated term unless agreed otherwise in writing. In the event of late or partial payment, Getaway reserves the right to charge late payment interest and administrative compensation in accordance with Belgian law. Payments are first allocated to costs and interest and only then to the principal amount. Invoices must be contested in writing within eight calendar days of the invoice date. Any modification request after issuance may be subject to an administrative fee of EUR 25. In case of non-payment or repeated late payment, Getaway may suspend or terminate services or refuse future bookings.

Check-in, check-out and access
Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM. Check-out is required by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be requested in advance, subject to availability and possible additional charges, and are never guaranteed. Late departure without approval may result in additional charges or an extra night being charged.
All guests must present a valid identity document upon arrival. Getaway reserves the right to refuse access if valid identification cannot be provided.
Keys may only be collected by a third party with prior written approval from the booker, a copy of the booker’s identification and valid identification of the person collecting the keys.

Cancellation and changes
Non-refundable reservations are payable in full shortly after confirmation and cannot be cancelled, modified or transferred. In the event of cancellation, no-show or early departure, the full amount remains due.

Flexible reservations may be cancelled free of charge until 3:00 PM local time on the day before arrival, unless otherwise stated in the confirmation. Cancellations after this deadline or no-shows result in the full stay being charged. Changes to arrival or departure dates are subject to availability and may result in rate adjustments. Modifications after the free cancellation deadline may be treated as cancellations.
Certain reservations such as group bookings, longer stays, corporate rates or special offers may be subject to specific conditions communicated at the time of booking and prevailing over standard conditions.

All cancellations and changes must be made in writing to the email address of the Getaway location stated in the booking confirmation and are only valid once confirmed in writing by Getaway.

Early departure does not entitle the guest to any refund.

Use of the accommodation and house rules
The accommodation is provided exclusively for temporary lodging. Subletting, domiciliation, commercial use or illegal activities are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to fraud, prostitution, drug-related activities or disturbances of public order.

The number of guests may not exceed the number stated in the reservation confirmation without prior written approval. Unauthorised additional guests may result in additional charges, refusal of access or termination of the stay.

Bookings may not be made by minors. Minors may only stay when accompanied by a legal representative.

Pets are not allowed, except certified assistance dogs communicated and approved in writing prior to arrival.

Guests must use the accommodation with due care and comply with house rules at all times. Quiet hours apply between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas. Parties, excessive noise or nuisance are not permitted.

The use or charging of electric scooters, electric bicycles, hoverboards or similar battery powered devices inside the building is prohibited, as is the use of candles, incense or any open flames. Cooking or heating appliances not provided by Getaway are not allowed.

If a fire alarm is triggered due to guest negligence, or in case of smoking, prohibited items, parties, excessive nuisance or unauthorised occupancy, Getaway may charge a fixed fee of EUR 250 as a minimum compensation for the costs incurred. This amount represents a fixed minimum compensation and does not exclude the right to charge higher actual costs, including but not limited to repairs, additional cleaning, third party interventions, staff time or loss of revenue and administrative costs.

In accordance with applicable privacy and surveillance legislation and Getaway’s privacy policy, Getaway may use camera surveillance in common areas for security, safety and compliance purposes, including verification of occupancy and adherence to house rules.

Housekeeping and condition of the studio
Daily housekeeping is not included. The studio is provided clean at the start of the stay. For stays of seven consecutive nights or more, one weekly cleaning including a change of bed linen and towels is included.

Amenities are provided in limited quantities as a welcome kit and are not replenished. Additional cleaning, linen changes or amenity replenishment are available upon request and may incur additional charges.
Housekeeping does not include cleaning of the kitchen, dishes or cooking utensils. If these are not left reasonably clean and free of food residue upon departure, a cleaning fee of EUR 25 may be charged.

Long stays
Stays exceeding 30 consecutive nights are considered long stays and may require a separate written agreement prior to check-in with specific payment terms, security deposits, guarantees and cancellation conditions. Periodic invoicing may apply. Getaway reserves the right to request higher deposits, additional guarantees or advance payments depending on the duration and risk profile of the stay. Failure to comply with agreed payment or guarantee terms may result in suspension or termination of the stay without refund.

Group bookings
Reservations involving multiple studios or a higher number of guests may be considered group bookings at Getaway’s discretion. Group bookings may be subject to specific payment terms, higher security deposits, additional guarantees or full or partial prepayment requirements. These specific conditions will be communicated at the time of booking and shall prevail over the standard terms where applicable.

Liability, damages and termination
Guests are fully responsible for any damage, loss or nuisance caused by themselves or their visitors to the accommodation, common areas, staff or other guests. Getaway reserves the right to charge all costs incurred, including but not limited to repairs, additional cleaning, third party interventions, staff time, loss of revenue and administrative costs.

Getaway reserves the right to immediately terminate the stay without refund in case of serious or repeated breaches of these terms, house rules or applicable laws.
Getaway may enter the accommodation when reasonably necessary for safety, maintenance, inspection or compliance purposes.
To the extent permitted by law, Getaway shall not be liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, vehicles or valuables. Liability is limited to direct damages and shall never exceed the total value of the reserved stay.

Force majeure and relocation
Getaway shall not be held liable for total or partial non performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flooding, strikes, terrorism, government measures or technical failures. In such cases, Getaway may offer alternative accommodation of comparable standard in the same city without additional compensation.

Complaints and personal data
Any complaint must be reported immediately upon discovery and confirmed in writing within two calendar days, except in case of hidden defects not reasonably detectable earlier.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the applicable privacy and data protection legislation and the Getaway Privacy Policy. The guest has the right to access, rectify, restrict or erase their personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Additional information regarding retention periods, purposes of processing and contact details is available in the Privacy Policy on the website.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Any legal action shall be directed against the legal entity mentioned on the invoice. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Leuven, Belgium.
